5,290 Website Clicks at a £0.10 CPC for a UK Aesthetic Clinic

Beauty and aesthetics is one of the most expensive niches to advertise in — on Meta and Google, UK clinics routinely pay £1–£5 per click. On Pinterest, we sent this clinic 5,290 visitors for £554.56 total. The Ads Manager tables below show every ad group.

◆ The situation

A local clinic priced out of the usual channels

Aesthetic treatments are researched purchases: people browse looks, save ideas, and compare clinics for weeks before booking. That research behavior happens on Pinterest — but most UK clinics spend their entire budget fighting over expensive Meta and Google clicks instead.

The brief here was volume: get the clinic’s treatments in front of UK users actively browsing aesthetics content, and get them clicking through to the site at a cost that makes consultation-value math trivial.

◆ What we did

Structure first, then follow the cheap clicks

1. Split the account into tightly-themed ad groups. Each ad group targeted a distinct treatment/interest angle with its own keyword set, so performance differences would be readable instead of blended away.

2. UK geo, precise audience. Campaigns ran to UK users in the clinic’s catchment behaviors — people browsing aesthetics, skincare and beauty content with intent.

3. Near-equal budgets to force a fair test. Notice the spend column below: every ad group got roughly £77–£80. Same money, same window — so the CPC spread is pure targeting signal, not budget bias.

4. Then budget followed the winners. The best ad groups delivered clicks at £0.07 — 3× cheaper than the weakest — and that’s where the scaling went.

◆ The spread

Same budget, 5× difference in CPC

This is why ad-group structure matters more than budget. Six ad groups, near-identical spend — and the cost of a click varied by 5× depending on the targeting angle:

Ad groupSpendClicksCPCCTR
Angle 3£79.321,131£0.071.35%
Angle 5£79.521,079£0.071.15%
Angle 4£77.62882£0.090.95%
Angle 2£77.29594£0.130.49%
Angle 1£76.77586£0.130.55%
Angle 6£54.40231£0.240.31%

Without the equal-budget test, the £0.07 pockets stay invisible and the average quietly doubles. With it, scaling decisions are obvious — and the blended account CPC lands at £0.10.

◆ Why it worked

Three reasons this is repeatable in the UK

Beauty is native to Pinterest

UK users plan treatments on Pinterest — browsing looks, saving ideas, comparing results. Ads there meet research intent instead of interrupting a feed.

The auction is still cheap

Most UK clinics aren’t here yet. A £0.76 CPM and £0.07–£0.13 clicks simply don’t exist for this niche on Meta or Google right now.

Clinic math at £0.10 a click

When one booked treatment is worth hundreds of pounds, a thousand targeted visits for £100 changes what “expensive marketing” means for a local business.
